Your kids are going to love us (and so will you!) Riverwood Kids is free, safe and offered at all our weekend services. It is designed for children infant-grade 5 to experience God and grow to love Him in their hearts, homes and world. Make your way to the Riverwood Kids check in desk and our team would love to meet you and get answers to any questions you might have! And don’t worry – we’ll let you know if your child needs you at any point during the service!

We Offer Three Unique Locations

Toy Factory

257 Riverton Ave, Winnipeg MB

Community Gatherings
Saturdays 5:15pm
Sundays 9:15am + 11:15am

This site hosts services Saturday at 5:15 and Sundays at 9:15 or 11:15 for infant through grade 5. Children are dropped off before the service starts in their age appropriate rooms, where they experience play, worship, storytelling and activities with their age group. This is our largest site, with as many as 100 children at a time.

Station 8

325 Talbot Ave, Winnipeg MB

Community Gatherings
Sundays 10:15am

Our most intimate setting with an average attendance of a dozen children, infant through age 5. Services start at 10:15 Sunday morning. This site operates as a "one room schoolhouse" type setting, where children of varied ages interact together throughout the play, craft, storytelling and worship times.

Greenhouse + Garden Shed

270 Gordon Ave, Winnipeg MB

Community Gatherings
Sundays 9:15am + 11:15am

Our newest site, at 270 Gordon Avenue, this is a family worship venue, where children infant through grade 5 sit with their parents during the worship and Riverwood Kids starts before the sermon. At that point, children go to nursery or preschool rooms off the foyer, or to the school age trailer just outside for half an hour of Bible stories, activities and community in small groups.

Our Values

We want your child to be known. That’s why we value small group ministries at Riverwood Kids. We keep our groups at a size where our team members know your child’s name, there are opportunities to build friendships and each child can feel like they belong. For this reason, we encourage families to choose a worshipping community and stick to it (site and service time).

Safety is a top priority for us. That’s why every volunteer goes through an extensive screening process before being placed in a position of trust, and we take our check in and check out procedures very seriously. If you have any questions or concerns about our safety policy or practices, please ask!

The Bible is never boring, so there’s no need for our teaching to be! Whether with creative props, active applications, hands-on crafts and engaging storytellers, we want your child to love learning God’s truth and applying it to their every day lives!

Check-In Process

You may check in your child at any available station. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child’s identification code will appear on the screen in the auditorium. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.

Large Group Experience

Whether your child is a Preschooler/Kindergartener or in Elementary School (Gr. 1-5) there is a worship experience designed for their age group. Through songs and motions led by our Worship Leaders or Worship Bands, children discover that worshiping God is fun!

Each week creative communicators teach the Bible Stories and Lessons, using costumes, props, puppets, multimedia, and drama to capture the hearts of each child no matter what age or learning style. It is always our goal to excite kids about the Bible to the point that they live differently on Monday as a result of Sunday.

Small Group Experience

Kids gather in Smaller Groups (according to age or grade level) at the beginning of each Sunday and then again after the Large Group Experiences to apply what they have learned to their lives. This is done through a variety of activities such as games, crafts, and group discussions. This is also a time of developing friendships and community with each other.

Sick Policy

Please do not bring your child to Riverwood Kids if they have a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, any communicable disease (pink eye, lice, etc.), or are in need of medication to control cough, cold or flu symptoms. Thank you for you help keeping Riverwood Kids safe for everyone!
